That's me the yellow jacket and Bob from
Lamont-Doherty
. The instrument to the right is an FSI CTD Rosette with
23 water-sampling bottles and another CTD in the 24th space. These are
10-liter sample bottles. We are preparing
to do the first cast of the cruise to get everyone used to the operation.
As you can see, the conditions are ideal.
There's that Rosette again! And standing by are it's keepers,
Doug Sieberg (in the hard hat) and Bon van Hardenberg; both from the
Institute of Ocean Sciences in Canada
