- 1.2 Download list of filenames
- 1.3 Edit this file for desired scenes (list.txt containing file names $name)
- 2. Process with step-0.csh to get ascii-file for band-1
- 2.1 Using list.txt to generate step-1.csh
- 2.2 Execute step-1.csh that calls step-2.csh with $name as argument
- 2.3 Execute step-2.csh consisting of
- 2.3.1 Download Level-0 (LO_LAC.bz2) file from oceancolor.gsfc.nasa
- 2.3.2 Unzip L0_LAC file
- 2.3.3 Process Level-0 through Level-2 with seabatch1.1 script (requires SeaDas5.4)
- 2.3.4 Extract 250-m resolution band-1 from Level-1B (L1B_QKM) and geolocation (.GEO) files
- 2.3.4.1 Create command script .cmd for embedded IDL processing
- 2.3.4.1.1 "load" .hdf file into memory
- 2.3.4.1.2 "out" binary bin1, bin2, and nav files to current directory
- 2.3.4.2 Execute command script by invoking "seadas -em test.cmd >log" (requires SeaDas5.4)
- 2.3.5 Create control file log.dat from hdfdump -h filename.L1B_QKM
- 2.3.6 Run fortran-77 getbin.f to read binaries, apply scaling coefficients, sub-sample into an area of interest using log.dat as control, and produce 1-line summary
- 2.3.7 Clean up files
- 2.3.8.1 rename sub-sampled ascii file as .dat
- 2.3.8.2 move .LO_LAC, .L1B_QKM and .GEO files to archive directory

- 3. Create regular grid for display and physical analyses
- 3.1 Using log.all to generate gpath1.csh
- 3.2 Execute gpath1.csh that calls GMT script file gpath.g (or gpathmed.g for larger area)
- 3.2.1 Filter .dat ascii data with "blockmean" (GMT command) with 0.01/0.002 long/lat width
- 3.2.2 Generate .grd gridded data with "surface" (GMT commant) with same resolution as 3.2.1
- 3.2.3 Color contour gridded field with "grdimage" (GMT command)
- 3.2.4 Create .grd, .ps, and .pdf files
- 3.2.5 Create .track ascii file of properties along a specified track line
- 3.2.6 Create and save .track ascii file of properties along a specified track line
- 3.3 Create .gif movie from saved .pdf files using movie.csh
- 3.4 Create Image Link Table
- 4. Analyze data along track lines as data that varies along track and time
